5 surprising foods that are actually GOOD for you:
3. CARBS – Your body needs carbs to function effectively; carbs provide energy and help your body refuel after a workout. Carbs also provide seratonin (the “feel good” brain chemical), so there’s a reason you’re likely to be grumpy on a low-carb diet! However, it’s important to watch out for overly-processed carbs, which provide little nutritional value (think white bread). One of our favorite healthy carbs is quinoa, which is easy to prepare, high in protein, and gluten-free.

I can eat dark chocolate all day! Do you know any healthy recipes for potatoes?

We use potatoes in a lot of things (and sweet potatoes too!) I honestly LOVE a baked potato topped with lean protein, chopped spinach, and BBQ sauce. We also dice and saute potatoes with a touch of oil, salt, and pepper and have those for breakfast with eggs and whatever veggies we feel like mixing in. This carne guisada is also pretty healthy and very filling (you could omit the flour or swap with a different thickener): https://thesoccermomblog.com/2015/08/28/classic-carne-guisada-mexican-beef-stew/

I love all these things and can’t imagine giving them up! I think the key is moderation. Can’t have too much or too often.
