Fall Apple Cider Mules

Fall is officially here now and it actually is starting feel a little cooler here in Texas! To celebrate the season, I’m sharing a new fall cocktail that I love: the Fall Moscow Mule.

A traditional Moscow Mule combines vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer to create an effervescent cocktail that’s tart and refreshing. We added a fall twist to this classic recipe by incorporating apple cider. The sweet apple and cinnamon spice flavors create a delicious fall flavor that makes this drink a winner!

Every year I make Thanksgiving margaritas for our family get-together. They’re always a hit! This year I’m going to serve both and see which is the favorite!

So let’s get mixing!

Prep Tips

  • The ingredient amounts are a starting point, but you may need to add more or less of each depending on the size of your cups.
  • For a sweeter drink, add more apple cider and/or reduce the amount of vodka to 1 ounce.
  • We used plain vodka, but you could switch it up with a flavored vodka! Vanilla vodka, caramel vodka, or apple vodka would all be great options to try.
  • While a classic mule is served in a copper mug (and that’s how we served it) you really can use any type of glassware, so don’t let that limit you!
