⅔cupwater
1/4teaspoonpeppermint extract
2Tablespoonscream of tartar
1TablespoonCornstarch
2Tablespoonsoil
2-3dropsred food coloring
Christmas Tree Playdough
1cupflour
1/2cupsalt
⅔cupwater
2dropsbalsam fir essential oil
2Tablespoonscream of tartar
1Tablespooncornstarch
2Tablespoonsoil
2-3dropsgreen food coloring
Gingerbread Playdough
1cupflour
1/2cupsalt
⅔cupwater
1teaspoonground ginger
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1teaspoonground nutmeg
1teaspoonground cloves
1TablespoonCornstarch
2Tablespoonscream of tartar
2Tablespoonsoil
2-3dropsbrown food coloringoptional
Instructions
Directions
Add all ingredients (except food coloring) to a microwave safe mixing bowl. Stir well to combine.
Add 2-3 drops of food coloring and stir until the dough is evenly colored. Add more food coloring as needed, a couple drops at a time.
Microwave for 1 minute and stir. Microwave an additional 30 seconds and stir again. If needed, continue microwaving in 15-20 second intervals until dough begins to form and pull away from sides of the container (or is no longer soupy).
Stir well, then finish kneading by hand until dough is smooth. (Make sure it is cool enough to handle first.
