Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients
3
cups
Brussel sprouts
outer leaves discarded and cut in half
3
strips
bacon
crumbled
2
Tablespoons
maple syrup
Salt and pepper
to taste
Instructions
Place a large skillet over medium heat; when hot, add bacon to pan.
Cook bacon to desired doneness, then remove from pan and set on a paper towel lined plate. Do not clean the skillet.
Add brussel sprout halves to the skillet with the hot bacon grease. Stir occasionally for 10 minutes, until caramelized.
While brussel sprouts cook, chop bacon into bite-sized pieces.
When brussel sprouts are almost done, drizzle with maple syrup and season to taste with salt and pepper.
And chopped bacon to sprouts and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
Notes
Note: Be sure to keep extra cooking oil handy, in case you need to supplement bacon grease for cooking the brussel sprouts.
