Ingredients
Cake Ingredients:
1box white cake mix
1 1/4cupWater
1/3cupcanola oil
3egg whites
2teaspoonsmaraschino cherry juice
1drop red food coloring
Frosting Ingredients:
1/2cupunsalted butter
1/2cupwhole milk
5cupconfectioners' sugar
1/2teaspoonalmond extract
1/2teaspoonkosher salt
Instructions
To Make the Cake:
Preheat oven to 350°F and coat a 13 x 9" baking dish with non-stick spray.
Add cake ingredients to baking dish and whisk until combined and cake batter in a bright pink color.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Remove from oven and allow cake to cool while you make the frosting.
To Make the Frosting:
Add butter and milk to a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
Remove from the heat and gradually stir in the confectioners' sugar, almond extract, and salt.
Spread the glaze over the warm (but not hot) cake and top with sprinkles and cherries.
