20 2 oz plastic condiment cups or plastic shot glasses
1 Baking Sheet or Muffin Tin
1 Medium Saucepan
1 Wire whisk
Ingredients
1cupsparkling wine
1/4cupsimple syrup
1cupginger ale
.50ozunflavored gelatin2 typical envelopes
Gold sanding sugaroptional garnish
Instructions
Stir together champagne and simple syrup in a medium saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder on top and allow to “bloom” for 2-3 minutes, without stirring.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until gelatin dissolves completely.
Remove from heat and pour in the ginger ale, stirring consistently. Go slowly and allow carbonation to fizz out completely.
Pour the jello shot mixture into plastic cups that are lined up on a baking sheet or in a muffin tin. Move to the refrigerator to chill until completely set.
When ready to serve, top finished jello shots with gold sanding sugar.
