sweetened condensed milk

almond extract

mini chocolate chips

maraschino cherries
chopped
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
Drain the maraschino cherries and pat dry with paper towel. Chop into halves or quarters and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt, until combined.
In a separate bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add sweetened condensed milk and almond extract and mix until creamy.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the bowl of wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips.
Use a cookie scoop to form balls of dough, and drop them 2” apart on the cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the edges are a light golden brown.
Allow the cookies to rest on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes, then move to a wire rack to cool.
