unsalted butter
softened

cup
brown sugar

granulated sugar

eggs

vanilla extract

salt

baking powder

tsp
baking soda

all purpose flour

old fashioned oats
2
cups
semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
To Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 13x9 baking dish with parchment and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar and softened butter.
Add in the eggs and vanilla. Mix well, scraping down the sides often.
Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly, scraping down the sides as needed.
Add the oats and mix well.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop the dough into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are just starting to turn golden brown and the center is set.
Use the parchment paper to pull the bars out of the pan before cutting.

Use semi-sweet, or swap for milk, dark, peanut butter, white chocolate, butterscotch, or even raisins.
Variations:
Add ½ teaspoon cinnamon for warm spice, or serve topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup for an easy dessert.
Storage:
Store cooled bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
