Ingredients
2EnvelopesUnflavored Gelatin0.25 ounces each
1/2CupWaterroom temperature
1/2CupBoiling Water
2TeaspoonsFragrance Oil
1-3DropsLiquid Food Dyeoptional
Instructions
Add the two packets of gelatin and half cup of room temperature water to a medium mixing bowl. Gently stir, just enough so that the gelatin powder gets wet, and set aside for 5 minutes.
Pour the half cup boiling water on top of the gelatin and stir until completely dissolved.
Stir in 2 teaspoons of your favorite fragrance oil and 1-3 drops of food coloring.
Divide the gelatin mixture evenly among the three mason jars and allow to sit overnight.
Notes
Prep Tip:
Yield: Makes three 4-oz jars; lasts about 3 weeks.
Use liquid food coloring (not gel); 1 drop for light color, up to 3 for darker.
When scent fades, wash out remaining gel with dish soap and water.
