Heat a frying pan or flat griddle pan over medium heat. Coat pan with non-stick spray or butter.
Slice the donuts in half. Place one or two slices of Provolone cheese in the middle to form a sandwich, with the inside surface of the donut facing outward.
Cook for 2 minutes on one side, flip, and cook for about 2 minutes on the other side. You want the surface to be golden brown. If it starts to get too dark, reduce heat or remove from pan.
