Easy Sidewalk Paint for Kids

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Muffin tin
  • Kids paintbrushes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • Plant-based food coloring

Instructions

  • Stir together the water and cornstarch in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Pour the cornstarch mixture into the a 6-cup muffin tin, dividing equally among the cups.
  • Stir about a teaspoon of food coloring into each cup.
  • Use a paint brush to paint on the sidewalk or pavement.

Notes

Food Coloring:
We used plant based food coloring so it would be easier to wash away, but you can use any food coloring that you have on hand.
Clean-Up:
Use a garden hose to wash away your artwork. It washes away very easily if you do so the same day. You can also leave the artwork until it rains.
