These caramel apple pops put a fun twist on the classic, with sliced apples dipped in chocolate and finished with caramel and your favorite toppings for a fall treat that’s easier to make and eat!
Slice the round ends off each apple. Next, cut straight through to remove the core. You should end up with two 1/2 - 3/4 inch apple slices per apple. Pat dry to remove excess moisture.
Insert a popsicle stick into the bottom center and push about halfway through the apple slice. You made need to use a knife to help start a hole first.
Melt the chocolate, then dip the apple slices, using a spoon as needs to coat the entire surface of the apple.
Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl, then place on parchment paper to dry and set for about 10 minutes.
Add the caramel and heavy cream to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle over the apple slices.
Next, melt the white chocolate and drizzle. If using nuts, add them while the caramel and white chocolate are still wet.
Allow to set at room temperature until the chocolate and caramel have completely hardened. You can also place in the fridge to speed up the process.
