Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 3 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1ย egg
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum

NOTE: This is the same crust we use in our original BBQ Chicken Pizza recipe, with the addition of a bit of xanthan gum as a binding agent. Xanthan gumย is a common ingredient in gluten free baked goods, but you can absolutely make this recipe without it. (I actually didn’t notice a huge difference in the crust with or without it).

Toppings:

  • 1-2ย cups shredded chicken
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheese (we used non-dairy veggie cheese)
  • 1/2-1 cup buffalo sauce
  • sliced green onion, for garnish

  1. Hi!! Can I make this with cassava flour (without the addition of tapioca)? Almond allergy and tapioca flour is difficult to find where I live. Thank you!
