You’ve got to see the NEW Chuck E. Cheese – new look, new games, same Chuck E. Cheese fun! We’ve got the scoop from the Grand Re-Opening event at the Houston-Willowbrook flagship restaurant!
There Are BIG Changes at Chuck E. Cheese
Big news for my fellow Chuck E. Cheese fans! Chuck E. Cheese recently updated its Houston-Willowbrook flagship restaurant and we attended the grand re-opening!
I’m so excited to share all about the new look, new food options, and new games!
Here’s the scoop on what to expect at the newly remodeled Chuck E. Cheese locations…
1. New Look
Chuck E. Cheese has truly succeeded in creating an atmosphere that appeals to the entire family. Of course there are plenty of bright colors and lights that kids love, but they’ve made the space feel bright and airy and a bit more relaxing for parents.
Yes, I just said relaxing!
Earth tones and wood details create a cozy and inviting place to enjoy a pizza together as a family, celebrate a birthday, or unwind with a friendly game of Skee-ball.
2. Focus on Food
Chuck E. Cheese has always been known for their awesome pizza, and that is one thing that hasn’t changed! I did a taste-test to make sure…wink, wink!
The pizza at Chuck E. Cheese is made from scratch daily – and you can watch the pizza-making process at the new open kitchens in most remodeled stores.
They’ve also stepped up the lunch buffet, moving it closer to the open kitchen and stocking it with fresh ingredients. Stop in and try the lunch buffet anytime between 11am and 3pm, Monday through Friday — it’s a hidden gem!
3. Better than Ever “All You Can Play” Packages
I can’t say enough about the All You Can Play (AYCP) packages at Chuck E. Cheese — this is the best way to get your game on!
Simply purchase an AYCP Play Pass and play as many games as you want during your time — we did an hour and a half and that was just the right amount for our girls.
Once you’ve activated your AYCP cards or wristbands, you can play unlimited games until time is up. You can even pause your time once during your visit, so you can take a pizza break without missing any game time.
The wristbands are especially awesome because you don’t have to worry about kids losing them. Plus, they’re easy enough for young kids to use — simply tap and play! Our 14-month old even got the hang of it! (And boy was she excited to play with the “big” kids!)
4. Light-Up Dance Floor
This is actually one of my favorite parts of the newly remodeled locations! Every birthday zone features a giant light-up dance floor that kids can use at any time. The lights on the floor even follow kids’ footsteps…so cool!!
Even better, Chuck E. Cheese hits the dance floor every hour for a live show and ticket toss. As you can imagine, this is a BIG favorite with the kids!
The little one looks super serious because it was serious business trying to be just like the big kids! She loved the dance floor and was the first to lead the way over there when she saw Chuck E. Cheese come out for the live show!
5. Self Service Kiosks
Located near the entrance of the restaurant, these new self-service kiosks make ordering from the menu quick and easy. And when you’ve got hungry kids, quick and easy is definitely the way to go!
6. The Birthday Zone
The new and improved Birthday Zone features a variety of seating options for larger parties. Each party section is easy to find because they are designated by characters in Chuck E.’s band – there is a bold wall graphic silhouette and character biography.
The Birthday Zone also features a light-up dance floor (see #4) and lots of space to celebrate!

7. A Dozen NEW Games
What exactly is new? I don’t want to give everything away, so I’ll leave this one a surprise! All I’ll say is that there are literally a dozen new games placed throughout the remodeled game rooms, in addition to many of the old favorites.
