Mom Must-Have: Emergency Diaper Blowout Kit

Parenting Tips

This Emergency Diaper Blowout Kit tutorial is part of a shop that has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are 100% mine. #HuggiesNewYear #CollectiveBias

We’ve all been there—you’re on your way to lunch or out running errands and you realize you forgot the diaper bag at home. Inevitably, this is when it happens…the dreaded diaper blowout.

Emergency Diaper Blowout Kit

If you’ve yet to experience a diaper blowout, consider yourself lucky! But the odds are that it will happen, and it will happen when you are least prepared. Don’t ask me why…that’s just the way this baby thing goes!

However, I came up with a simple way to always be prepared for a diaper blowout when you’re away from home: a compact “Diaper Blowout Emergency Kit.” It’s compact enough to fit just about anywhere and contains the essentials to take care of one diaper blowout so you can get clean and get home!

Diaper emergency? No problem! This handy Diaper Blowout Kit contains everything you need to clean up and fits just about anywhere!Supplies:

  • 1 HUGGIES® diaper
  • Handful of wipes
  • Zipper plastic sandwich bag
  • Onesie (You can’t fit a full change of clothes, but this will get you home!)
  • Wet wipe packet (for mom’s hands)
  • Plastic wipe case (you’ve probably got a few of them laying around the house already!)

How to make an emergency travel diaper cleanup kit:

To make sure everything fits in the slim case, I folded and stacked the wipes neatly and sealed them in the plastic bag, taking care to squeeze all the air out so the bag will be as thin as possible. I love HUGGIES® Natural Care wipes because they are hypoallergenic and fragrance free.

This handy Diaper Blowout Kit contains everything you need to clean up and fits just about anywhere!I placed the diaper on the bottom of the plastic case and tucked a folded onesie next to it (there was a little bit of overlap, but that’s ok.) The bag of wipes and single wet wipe packet fit perfectly in the remaining space on top of the diaper.

You might have to tuck the diaper and/or onesie in as you close the case, but everything does fit and the case stayed latched securely for me.

It can even tuck into the bottom of a purse. Trust me, one day you will be SO happy you put together this handy little kit!

You can find all the HUGGIES® products you need for your Diaper Blowout Kit at your local Family Dollar — it is so easy to pop in and out when all you need are a couple of baby items! Plus, the prices are great (and I am always looking for ways to save an extra buck!)

This is an excellent idea! It’s also great for those cases when you just wish you had one extra diaper in the car! [client]
