Easy Bluey Craft with Toilet Paper Rolls

Kids Activities· Kids Crafts

What’s Inside: An easy Bluey craft that kids can make, plus a sneak preview of the new line of Bluey toys from Moose Toys!

Do your kids love Bluey?

Our six-year old is a HUGE fan of both the TV show and character Bluey! In fact, watching an episode of Bluey was her treat for getting ready for school on time each day!

What is Bluey?

Bluey is an energetic Blue Heeler puppy that lives in Australia with her Dad Bandit, Mum Chilli, and little sister Bingo.

The television cartoon “Bluey” debuted in 2018 and my girls were fans right away! My husband and I love that it is a family-centric show — Bluey loves to play with both her little sister and her parents. Bluey’s parents not only make time to play with their little pups, but they also embrace their creativity and imagination!

In the spirit of this imaginative pup, I wanted to share the Bluey craft that I made with my daughters, as well as the new Bluey toys that we received from Moose Toys as a sneak peek at the full line that is being released this summer!

Here are the four toys/sets that we received:

  • Bluey & Bingo “Park” Mini Playset — This cute little playset comes with both Bluey and Bingo figurines, as well as a moveable swing and slide that they can play on.
  • Bluey & Family Figure 4-Pack — My girls love playing with mini figurines, so this set of Bluey and her family is a must!
  • Bluey Heeler 4WD Family Vehicle — My youngest daughter especially loves this toy! The car is big enough for the whole family of figurines to fit inside, and the roof opens up for easy access to play!
  • Best Mate Bluey — A cuddly jumbo plush toy that my 6-year old immediately scooped up, as she collects plushies!

Where to find the new Bluey Toys

This adorable line of Bluey toys from Moose Toys is available in Target stores around the end of June.

The line will be available at other major retailers on August 1st.

Bluey Toilet Paper Roll Craft

In the spirit of Bluey and her vibrant imagination, our family decided to make our own Bluey figurine! My middle daughter collects cardboard rolls for crafting — they are shaped like Bluey to start with and the perfect material for our craft!

To make a Bluey figurine from a cardboard roll, simply push down the top of the roll from two sides and glue together. This creates Bluey’s pointy ears:

We then painted our paper towel roll light blue and dark blue to match Bluey’s coat. We used a pom pom for her nose and attached google eyes. A few more details like pipe-cleaner legs and painted-on eyebrows and our Bluey craft is complete!

About Moose Toys

My girls have been fans of Moose Toys for years now, as they are the creative geniuses behind the Shopkins toys!

Moose Toys is a family-owned brand, and in their own words, they exist “to make children happy” — now that is a mission statement! With that attitude, it’s easy to see why their toys are both award-winning and beloved by kids!
