My Easier Cleaning Routine for Back to School

Parenting Tips

This easier cleaning routine for back to school is a part of a shop that has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. However, all opinions are 100% mine.

It’s hard to believe that summer is already on the way out and it is time to gear up for a new school year. Going back to school also means that we are busier than ever before! From our morning routine, to afternoon homework, to sports and activities, we are always on the go and I have even less time to clean. (Plus who wants to spend those precious few hours when the kids are home doing chores?)

Here’s how I’ve created an easier cleaning routine for back to school:

– Find products that are more efficient –

On our most recent Target visit, I made sure to stock up on Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. I’ve been a fan of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes for years because they are easy to use and they work on just about any surface. I keep a container in both my kitchen and bathroom so they’re always handy.

Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are my go-to for just about any cleaning task.

I love how Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are textured — it gives them extra scrubbing power!

Lilu is in second grade this year, and kids at that age are still notorious for spreading germs. I want to make sure that germs stay at school and don’t make their way back to our house. I save time with Clorox Disinfecting wipes because they clean grime and kill germs at the same time.

Clorox Disinfecting Wipes have a unique clear-drying formula, so I can use them on mirrors and other shiny surfaces.

– Get things done early –

Making the bed is a part of our morning routine, so that is one chore out of the way before we’re even fully awake! (And one less thing to worry about later in the day.) I also toss a load of laundry into the washer while we’re eating breakfast. Laundry is probably my least favorite activity, so if I go ahead and get started first thing, I am much more likely to finish.

– Create a “place” everything –

One of my favorite ways to make my house look clean fast is with boxes and baskets. I have a basket for everything: shoes, toys, toiletries — you name it! That way I can just toss things in their respective basket and my house looks orderly within minutes.

– Do a sweep immediately after the kids go to bed –

As soon as I’ve tucked the girls in, I head out to the living room and pick up any toys that are left out and put any remaining dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Once I’ve tidied up a little, I can sit down, relax, and be done for the day!

I love having a clean house, but I don’t want chores to get in the way of spending time with my family. With a few simple cleaning hacks and the right products, like Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, I can have the best of both! For more great tips on getting #Backtoclean for the new school year, click here.

Great tips! I especially love the idea of a quick sweep right after the kids go to bed. And I love keeping Clorox Wipes stashed all over our house for quick clean-ups, too. Thanks for sharing! #client

To answer the questions – my tip is quite like what you are suggesting – clean as you go and wipe stuff down before kids go back from school.

I love these tips! And I’m so with you – laundry is probably my least favorite thing to do too. I also try to throw loads in while people are eating breakfast. And we have our kids make their beds very first thing too – one less thing to worry about later. This post totally made me feel like I’m on the ball, lol.
