JCPenney asked me to share my secrets for saving tons of money on gifts for everyone on my list. That’s right, they actually encouraged me to spill the beans on how to get the most bang for your buck! See why I love this store?!

6 Ways to Save Money at JCPenney on Gifts for the Whole Family
Here are my top five tricks that I use to save money at JCPenney all year long, but especially during the holiday shopping season:
1. Look for sale prices
If you plan ahead, you can check off every item on your list while it’s on sale. Be sure to sign up to receive JCPenney emails so you’ll know what’s coming up!
During our Christmas shopping we found Arizona Jeans super-soft T-shirts for just $5 each. These make excellent stocking stuffers for all the guys on your list! (We snagged a few in different colors).
Also, be sure to keep an eye out for “Power Penny” deals where you can buy one item and get a second for a penny! We found a few of these hot sales scattered around the store:
2. Join the JCPenney Rewards program
This is one loyalty program that really pays!
As a member of the JCPenney Rewards program, you’ll earn points from every purchase. These points add up to cash rewards on your future purchases!
On our most recent trip to JCPenney we earned $10 reward — that’s $10 off our next purchase!
Be sure to ask your sales associate to sign up for the program before you checkout so you can start earning points right away.

3. Combine coupons with sales
If you’re on the JCPenney email list, you’ll be in-the-know when there are special offers that really ramp up the savings!
Generally, JCPenney allows you to combine coupons with sale prices (unless specifically noted). This allows you to get awesome deals that you can’t find anywhere else!
These Pyrex storage sets are already marked lower than other retailers (I checked!) Combined with a coupon and JCP Rewards points, you’ve got an absolutely amazing deal!
4. Find the pink tags
Pink tags = clearance items (aka rock-bottom prices you don’t want to miss!)
I’m always amazed by the top-notch items we find at super-low clearance prices. My tip: if you find something you love and it’s got a pink tags, grab it now because it won’t be there for long!
During our latest back to school shopping trip, we found soft and colorful Arizona Jeans girls sweaters for just $3.99. Less than four dollars for a warm sweater that can be worn from Fall to Spring! We bought one in every color!
5. Get an extra 10% by completing the survey on your receipt
Many stores and restaurants try to entice you to fill out surveys after you shop for a chance to win prizes. However, on my most recent JCPenney shopping trip, our sales associate tipped me off that if you fill out a quick survey (noted on your receipt), you’ll get a 10% off coupon for your next shopping trip.
I’d much rather get a guaranteed savings coupon than a “chance” to win a prize, so this is a survey that’s worth a couple minutes of your time!
So don’t forget to check your receipt to see if there is a coupon offer!
6. Shop both online and in-store to find the best deals
To find the best overall deals, I do a combination of both online and in-store shopping.
I love the in-store shopping experience, and that’s where I usually spot the best clearance finds. However, JCPenney loves to surprise it’s email following with blockbuster online-only specials!
Be sure to scope out both options when doing your holiday shopping and you’ll be sure to find the best prices possible!
