10 Things to Have on Your Spring Cleaning Checklist

Easy DIY & Craft Ideas· Home

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Endust for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you make a spring cleaning checklist? It’s a great way to get organized and motivate yourself to clean some of the areas of your home that might have been forgotten the rest of the year.

Cleaning house top to bottom takes a lot of time, so it’s understandable to prioritize, doing essential tasks like bathrooms and sweeping more regularly than some of these others. However, spring cleaning is the perfect opportunity to make time for parts of your home that probably could use a little TLC.

While you’re at it, make sure you enter the Endust #DustOff Challenge for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards AND a spring cleaning prize package of Endust Products! Keep reading for details on how to enter!

Underneath rugs

When was the last time you picked up one of your area rugs to vacuum or mop underneath it? You’d be surprised how much dust and dirt can sneak under there!

Top of refrigerator

I have neglected this one for a long time! Not intentionally, but since I’m pretty short, it’s not something that I can see as I’m walking by. Out of sight, out of mind…until it’s spring cleaning time! I’m a little embarrassed, but here is what the top of my fridge looked like before:

This was after a quick wipe with Endust Lemon — wow! It’s so shiny that it almost looks like a mirror! It was actually hard to get a clear photo because it was that shiny!

Vents

One of my least favorite areas to clean because it can be tedious, especially with some of the methods I’ve tried before. I was so excited when I tried Endust Lemon on my vents because they cleaned so quickly!

Windowsills

We have blinds that often stay down, and I just turn the adjustment rod to open when I want to let in some sunlight. Since my blinds block the back half of the windowsill, I don’t see how much grime collects there! Fortunately, this is super easy to remedy — just pull up the blinds and make a quick swipe with your cleaning rag.

Baseboards

It’s no wonder these get dirty, since they’re so close to the floor! I think most of the time I just pretend I don’t see them, so they have definitely earned a place on my spring cleaning checklist! Again, very easy to clean with a wipe of your cloth.

Ceiling fans

I don’t know what it is, but our ceiling fan blades collect dust like nobody’s business! Now imagine what happens when you turn the fan on — that can’t be good to breathe! This is usually one of the toughest areas to dust and clean, but with Endust Lemon, it traps the dust on your cleaning rag, so dust bunnies aren’t falling on the floor (or your head!) while you’re working.

Look at all the dust and allergens trapped on my cleaning rag (instead of in the air for us to breathe!)

Picture frames

You don’t want dust clouding your beautiful memories! Make sure to do a quick once-over with your dusting rag — I love how Endust Lemon leaves the glass streak-free!

Sides of furniture

I have NO idea how dust sticks to chair legs or even the sides of dressers…but it does! When you’re dusting, make sure to cover all surfaces of furniture, not just the top.

Shower drain

This one is no fun! But sometimes I just have to accept that I am a grown-up, and this is a chore that grown-ups have to do. I grab a pair of gloves and a plastic bag and pull any hair that might have built-up. It’s so nice to have the shower drain as well as it should when you’re finished!

Under the Couches

I am always surprised by what I find when I move the couches to clean beneath them. I’ve reunited quite a few “sock orphans” this way!

If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of Endust Lemon because I can use it for so many different things on my spring cleaning checklist, instead of carrying around a bucket of various products. I also love that it is a silicone-free formula, so it does’t leave a yucky residue behind — just an amazing shine!

You can find Endust at just about any major retailer (Here’s where to buy). Be sure to print this coupon for $1.25 off one Endust product!

Now for the fun part! Enter the #DustOff challenge below for a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards AND a spring cleaning prize package of Endust products!

Simply take a before and after photo of a surface you’ve dusted (like mine above) and share it on Twitter or Facebook! No purchase necessary and you don’t need to use Endust in your photos. Winners will be chosen on May 4, 2016. Time get dusting!
