Crispy Chicken Strips with Candied Bacon Aioli
My husband is a huge basketball fan, so playoff season is a BIG deal in our house! Every evening the television is turned on as he follows his favorite player and the hometown team on their run for glory.
We regularly host game-day watch parties, and of course that calls for appetizers. My husband is the chef in the family, so he has a reputation of creating crave-worthy party food.
For our most recent basketball game watch party, my husband created a gourmet twist on one of our favorite traditional arena food offerings: the chicken tender basket.
Chicken Tender Basket Essentials
Most importantly, you’ve got to start with premium chicken tenders!
Chicken Tender Basket Essential #1 — Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips
We chose Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips because they have the perfect ratio of crispy breading to juicy chicken. Plus, they’re made with 100% all natural ingredients, all white meat chicken and contain no antibiotics.
You can find Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips in the frozen foods section at your local H-E-B (you might want to grab a couple bags because they’re sure to be a hit at your playoff watch party!)
Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips are definitely tasty enough to stand on their own, but who doesn’t love a flavorful dip to go with them?
Chicken Tender Basket Essential #2 — A Delectable Dip
We’re not talking about plain old ketchup here…not even honey mustard (my usual favorite). Nope!
My husband, who lives by the motto that bacon makes everything better, created this Candied Bacon Aioli to take our chicken tender basket to the next level. It’s classic arena food, elevated!
