- 8 premade meringues
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 medium or large container of whipped topping
- 1 tbsp. sugar
Note: Purchasing pre-made meringues like these or these is a great way to save time, perfect if you’re in a hurry or putting together a last-minute party. If you’d like to make your own meringues, this is a helpful tutorial.
Directions
Add the sugar to a bowl and combine it with the blueberries. Let sit for at least 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
In four parfait glasses or dessert cups, crumble one meringue cookie at the bottom of each.
Tip: These berry parfaits would also look beautiful served in short mason jars!
Divide the cherry filling between the four dessert cups, placing it on top of the crumbled meringue.
Add a desired amount of whipped topping on top of the cherry filling. Divide the blueberries and the juice that was produced by adding the sugar, on top of the whipped topping.
Break the remaining meringues in half and crumble one of the halves, leaving the other half intact. Sprinkle the crumbled meringue on top of the blueberries, almost like a dusting of snow.
Add another dollop of whipped topping, then place the remaining meringue halves atop the whipped cream as a garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!
