How I Took Control of my Laundry

With two active kids and a husband that cooks for a living, I probably have more laundry to do than most. Sometimes it seems that the piles of dirty clothes are never-ending!
However, I finally decided to take control of my laundry instead of letting it stress me out. A few simple changes to my routine have made all the difference:
Make sure you’re using the right products
This was huge for me! Sometimes I used to wash a load of the girls’ clothes and find that they still looked dirty. Spaghetti stains, grass stains, and who-knows-what stains wouldn’t always come out with regular detergent alone and I’d end up having to run them through the wash again.
However on a recent trip to Walmart, I found NEW Clorox® Bleach Crystals™ and Clorox® Bleach Packs™ in the laundry aisle (if you see shelves full of Clorox® Bleach, you’re in the right place!)
These new products take all the guesswork out of using bleach: they only activate when they come in contact with water, so there’s no worrying about spills! I especially love the Clorox® Bleach Packs™ because they’re so easy to use — just toss and go! (Seriously, you just toss one pack into the washer and let it go to work for you!)
Do one load of laundry every day
Instead of letting the dirty clothes pile up until “laundry day,” do one load a day and stay ahead of the game. If you make the commitment to wash one basket of clothes each day, you won’t be overwhelmed trying to do it all at once.
Finish every load you start
I have no problem tossing a load of laundry into the washer and moving it to the dryer. However, I used to be notorious for leaving clean clothes in a basket to “fold later.” By not completely finishing the task, I was only adding more work for myself at another time. As soon as the dryer cycle is complete, put those clothes away and be done with them. You’ll thank yourself later!
By making these simple changes and by incorporating NEW Clorox® Bleach Crystals™ and Clorox® Bleach Packs™, I’ve gotten my laundry routine under control — instead of letting it control me!
