Celebrate Your Mother-in-Law on Mother’s Day

With Mother’s Day on the way, it’s important to show our appreciation for ALL the special ladies in our lives! I remember feeling a bit forgotten as a stepmom a few years ago, so I want to make sure that no one in our family is left out of this day. In addition to honoring my own mother, I celebrate my mother-in-law on Mother’s Day too!
Something I didn’t quite realize when I got married, and perhaps many of us don’t, is that we also marry that person’s family. Getting along with your own mother can be tricky sometimes, but getting used to someone else’s mom is a whole other ball game!
However, I feel blessed to have to have a mother-in-law who is so caring and concerned for her family, especially her granddaughters. I want her to know that we appreciate all that she does for our family.
This photo is from a visit to our local zoo. We spent all afternoon strolling in the perfect weather, enjoying each others’ company and admiring the majestic animals. The trip was capped off with a stop at the zoo gift shop where Grandma did what grandparents do best: making sure the girls had a souvenir (matching giraffe stuffed animals) to remember the day. What a special memory!
