Candy Corn Veggie Tray
Looking for a fun alternative to sweets at your Halloween party? Try this cute Halloween veggie platter that’s arranged to look like a colorful candy corn!
Candy Corn Veggie Platter for Halloween
Halloween is not known for healthy food, but this cute candy corn vegetable appetizer might just change that!
Yesterday I shared the recipe for this Thanksgiving Turkey Veggie Tray. Today I’m sharing a Halloween Veggie Platter, shaped like a candy corn!
This candy corn vegetable platter is even easier to make than the Thanksgiving version because it has just 3 components. I love that all you have to do is cut your veggies and arrange them in the shape of a pyramid. With the orange, yellow, and white colors, it really does look just like a candy corn!

Instructions
- Cut the veggies into bite size pieces, as needed.
- Arrange the vegetables on serving platter in the shape of a triangle. We started with carrot sticks on the bottom, sliced sweet yellow bell peppers in the middle, and cauliflower florets on top.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce & enjoy.
Prep Tips
- Our vegetable choices here were based on the colors of a candy corn. However, you’re welcome to substitute with any vegetables that you like.
- Try this recipe as a fruit tray too! You could use cantaloupe or orange slices, pineapple, bananas or apples, etc.
- Dipping sauces that would pair well with this Halloween veggie tray include: ranch dressing, bleu cheese, hummus, and/or guacamole.
- We added a few spooky decorations to our platter, such as plastic spiders and skeleton hands. This just adds to the Halloween fun!
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Can A Vegetable Platter Sit Out?
The USDA food safety guidelines state that cut fruits and veggies shouldn’t sit out for more than 2 hours. This is because that cutting and peeling opens up vegetables to bacteria. Your dipping sauce is also susceptible to bacteria growth as well and should be refrigerated or tossed after 2 hours.
Can You Make This Halloween Vegetable Tray Ahead Of Time?
Sure! You can make your veggie tray a day in advance. Simply cover and refrigerate until you’re ready to serve.
Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 days.
I don’t advise prepping this dish more than a day in advance because even though everything should be fine to eat, it may not look its best after a couple days.
