How to Make Espresso Overnight Oats

Add one shot (about 2 ounces) of espresso to your container of Dave’s Gourmet Overnight Oats, along with 2 Tablespoons of almond milk (or milk of choice).

*In a pinch you can substitute 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats. If you do use plain oats, add a touch of sugar or stevia sweetener to the liquid when you prep.

TIP: I’ve had my Nespresso machine for 4 years now and I use it every single day to make smooth, frothy espresso in seconds. A total time-saver and it actually saves you money in the long run over buying from the coffee shop.

Stir with a spoon to make sure the liquid reaches the bottom and that all the oats are coated evenly.

Cover and refrigerate overnight (or a minimum of 4 hours). This allows the oats to “cook” and the flavors to fully soak in.

When you’re ready to enjoy, uncover and stir with a spoon to distribute flavors. Top with coffee chocolate drizzle for an extra boost (recipe below).

If you prefer warm cereal, microwave for about 30 seconds. However, these espresso overnight oats taste just as amazing cold!

For the Coffee Chocolate Drizzle:

Add 2 ounces of hot espresso and 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips to a mixing bowl. Whisk together until chocolate melts into the espresso and the sauce thickens.

Drizzle over your espresso overnight oats for even more rich coffee flavor. Any leftover sauce can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for next time.
