Sparkling Pink Paloma Cocktail Recipe
This Cinco de Mayo, switch things up from your usual margarita and try this fabulous Sparkling Pink Paloma Cocktail recipe instead!
If you ask me, tequila is underrated in the cocktail world — this Pink Paloma Cocktail Recipe is a gorgeous (and delicious) example of tequila’s versatility.
The paloma is a traditional tequila cocktail, though I’ve tweaked the recipe slightly. Some recipes will call for either grapefruit juice OR soda, but I like a mix of both. Grapefruit juice gives it a richer flavor and pretty pink color, while the citrus soda adds effervescence and a touch of sweetness.
This Sparkling Pink Paloma Cocktail makes the perfect addition to brunch, girls night, or any celebration.
PS- One of my other favorite sparkling cocktails is Strawberry Shortcake Bellini (if you’re a champagne fan you’ll love this one too!)

Ingredients:
(per serving)
- 1.5 ounce silver tequila
- 1 ounce grapefruit juice
- Citrus soda (Sprite, Squirt, etc.)
- Juice from one lime
- Salt, for garnish
Directions
Pour salt onto a small plate until the surface is lightly covered. Run a lime wedge along the edge of a rocks glass, then place the glass upside-down onto the plate, so that the rim is in the salt. Lightly twist glass until the rim is coated in the desired amount of salt. Fill glass with ice.
In a cocktail shaker, combine 1.5 ounces of silver tequila, 1 ounce of grapefruit juice, and a squeeze of lime. Shake vigorously for 5-10 seconds, then strain the liquid over ice into your rocks glass.
Top with citrus soda and garnish with lime or grapefruit wedge.
Bartender Essentials:
- Stainless steel 2-piece cocktail shaker (This is the style I learned to bartend with and still prefer)
- Cocktail strainer
