Slime Easter Basket for Kids
I don’t know about you, but the Easter Bunny brings a LOT of candy to our house!
That’s why I’ve brainstormed some non-candy Easter basket ideas – you can make these without worrying about causing a sugar overload!
This week we created a Book Lover’s Easter Basket, filled with goodies for the young reader in your home. We also made Baby’s First Easter Basket which is perfect for new moms and little ones! (Then I had the honor of demonstrating our kid’s Easter basket ideas on an upcoming episode of Great Day Houston!)
The favorite (with my girls anyway) was definitely this Slime Easter Basket, so we just had to share in case you know a slime-lover too!
We included pre-made slimes (in sparkly spring colors) as well as supplies to make kid-safe edible slime (which we LOVE!)
See ALL of our edible slime recipes here…then let’s put together a basket!

How to Make a Slime Easter Basket for Kids
First, gather your supplies and decide which slime recipe you want to include ingredients to make. For the picture basket, we used our “famous” Pudding Slime Recipe because it’s only 2 ingredients (plus water) and it is taste-safe, so it’s perfect for kids of all ages.

Next, we labeled our slime ingredient containers with fun names like “activator” and “slime base.” Feel free to use the real ingredient names or get creative with it!
We printed a copy of the slime recipe from The Slime Book and placed that page in an envelope labeled “Secret Slime Recipe.” Any extra touches or personalizations you can think of will make your slime Easter basket special!
Finally, we tucked all of our slime ingredient containers and recipe inside our basket. We also included a couple pre-made slimes for variety, and also so there is slime that the kids can play with immediately.
Some of our favorites are Flarp (which makes lots of goofy noises) and Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty.
