Twix has always been one of my favorite candy bars. In fact, as a kid it was considered one of the “prime” trades when my siblings and I divvied up Halloween candy!

This Twix Cake tastes just like the candy bar, except maybe even more delicious!!

Plus, with a box cake shortcut it is super easy to make!

To make the caramel layer:

Heat 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream and caramels in a double boiler, stirring regularly until completely melted.

TIP: You can also do this step in the microwave. Be sure to use a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20 second intervals, stirring in-between. Handle with care, as bowl may become hot.

Slowly, pour caramel mixture over the top of your pound cake, then chill in fridge for at least an hour to set.

To make the chocolate coating:

Heat 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream and chocolate chips in a double boiler, stirring regularly until completely melted.

TIP: You can also do this step in the microwave. Be sure to use a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20 second intervals, stirring in-between. Handle with care, as bowl may become hot.

Whichever method you choose, take care not to overheat of the chocolate may “break” and you’ll have to make a new batch. (Ask me how I know…)

Remove cake from fridge and pour chocolate ganache over the top of the cake to cover completely.

TIP: You can chill cake in fridge to speed up the setting process.
