My kids adore our crafting sessions as we create together easy and unique Christmas crafts from scratch or when we use free Christmas printables they can color and assemble. Even months before Christmas is here, my kids start thinking about ideas of what to make! How about your kids?

However, this post is a smaller collection of the most unique kids Christmas crafts. So if you’re looking for something a little bit different, you’ve come to the right place!

1. Dancing Elf Paper Puppets

Elves are fun! And around Christmas especially, when Christmas elves help out with presents! What’s not to like? We simply adore these little elf paper puppets! They are so much fun to play with after reading all the Christmas stories about little Santa’s helpers!

2. Paper Angels

We also love to see little angels hanging around our home around Christmas time. You too? Make few of these lovely little paper angels and hang them on your Christmas tree as ornaments or use them to make a Christmas garland!

3. Christmas Thaumatropes

Do you know what thaumatropes are? Explain this Victorian science project as you create Christmas thaumatropes with kids. Let them color as they wish or even make their own designs once they understand the concept.

4. 3D Christmas Trees

We love when we come by beautiful and decorative Christmas printables! Print and hand over to kids to color before you assemble these stunning 3D Christmas trees! They even look beautiful without coloring!

Do you like to use paper plates in your crafts? They are easy to use, versatile and cheap crafting medium we use often! Let kids make paper plate Santa while you make all the necessary preparations for Christmas party!

7. Christmas Tree Pop-Up Cards

Do you make your own Christmas cards? We love to both make and send them. And we especially love when they are simpler to make than they look! Perfect example are these Christmas tree pop-up cards! Awesome, right?!

8. Santa Cork Ornaments

We have a confession to make! Around our home, almost everything gets reused for crafts! And one of the items on our to-keep list are corks! Over years, we created quite a collection of homemade cork ornaments. Still, Santa cork ornaments are all time favorites!

9. Christmas Cards Advent Calendar

Not sure what type of advent calendar to put up for kids this year? How about stringing blank Christmas cards that kids get to decorate for family members each day? Would they like this blank Christmas cards advent calendar?

10. Baby Bottle Photo Ornaments

These baby bottle ornaments are perfect to commemorate a new arrival’s first Christmas. However, older kids can make them too with pictures from their own first Christmas. We made them for each of our three girls!
