Are you looking for a few simple pallet garden ideas? There are so many benefits from setting up and using a pallet garden in your yard.

If you don’t have the space or availability to dig up and plant a ground garden, using pallet gardens is a great way to set up a space to grow your own food easily.

You can also use pallets for storage ideas to keep your yard clean of clutter as well. There are so many great ideas for recycled pallets!

Here are a few simple ideas on how you can still create a plentiful garden area around your home with minimal effort on your part.

Where to Find Free Wooden Pallets

If you already have extra pallets, then you can skip ahead to our DIY ideas! However, maybe you have the ideas, but not the pallets!

In that case, you’ll have to find a source. But it’s not like you can just go to the store and buy pallets. So where DO you get them?

We actually got our pallets by chance from a small place near our house. It was a house with a sign saying “burn barrels for sale.” We needed a barrel so we stopped in — we also noticed some old wooden pallets stacked up, so we inquired. The guy said if we bought a burn barrel we could take as many pallets with us as we wanted. Score!

This is one of the best ways to find pallets — stop by a local business that might have some they’re looking to get rid of. Big stores like Lowes or Home Depot probably already have a contract with another company to pick up pallets with big trash.

You could also try searching online on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, etc.
