Our Favorite Burger Bar Ideas
Football season is just a few short weeks away and I’m already getting excited.
Fall and football are two of my favorite things in the world, so I look forward to this season all year long. Pretty much as soon as football season ends, I’m already counting down the days until next season!
Growing up, my family had season tickets to our college team and I got to go to at least one game a year. Watching the game was fun of course, but tailgating was just as exciting as a kid!
Basically it meant running around all day with family and friends…and lots of delicious food!
These burger bar ideas are our go-to essentials for the perfect tailgate spread. I’ve also included a free copy of our printable “build your own burger bar” sign!
Our Tailgate Essentials Kit
- Paper towels
- Serving tray
- Spatula and/or tongs
- Heinz Flavor Mashups
Everything fits neatly into our reusable H-E-B shopping bag, so it’s just the right portable size for traveling to games or as a gift idea!
You might have noticed that I didn’t include the usual go-to tailgate items like ketchup or barbecue sauce on my list. That’s because I’m pretty much obsessed with the new Heinz Flavor Mashups that I picked up from my local H-E-B!
Here’s a breakdown of each of the Heinz Flavor Mashups:
- Mayochup — Combines the delicious taste of ketchup, mayonnaise, and a special blend of spices
- Mayomust — Creamy Heinz Mayonnaise with Mustard and a special blend of spices
- Mayocue — Creamy Heinz Mayonnaise with BBQ sauce and a special blend of spices
- Kranch — Classic Heinz ketchup with ranch and a special blend of spices
You can enjoy them all as dips or sauces!
Mayochup is my personal favorite because it is the perfect combination of smooth, creamy mayo and tangy ketchup. I actually used to make my own similar concoction as a kid!
Actually, I used to make lots of custom sauces that were similar to the Heinz Flavor Mashups. I blended mayo and barbecue, created my own mayo-based honey mustard, and yes, I even combined ranch and ketchup.
It’s as if the creative geniuses at Heinz read my mind!! Or perhaps I’m just a trendsetter – wink, wink!
Let’s be honest – a burger is just a burger until you add sauces! And though I do love regular ‘ol ketchup, the new Flavor Mashups from Heinz take things to the next level, and remind me of my childhood at the same time.
I know what you’re probably thinking: “But I can mix my own ketchup and mayonnaise together!”
Just trust me on this one – Heinz makes the perfect ketchup, so of course they know how to make the perfect Mayochup too! Plus it’s a great conversation starter at the tailgate party when you’re hanging out waiting for kickoff!
You can find the new Heinz Flavor Mashups in the condiment aisle at your local H-E-B.
