Prep Tips
- Make ’em healthier – Want a guilt-free version of our football brownies? Try our favorite recipe for Chocolate Avocado Brownies (they’re gluten free!) and our “Magic” 2-ingredient White Chocolate Coconut Oil Frosting!
- Yield – When I made these brownies, I ended up with 6 footballs. I used the largest oval cookie cutter in the set, so if you use a smaller cookie cutter, you may be able to get more brownies.
- Cookie Cutters – You can use any cookie cutter that is a football shape. I had a set of oval cookie cutters that worked perfectly and allowed me to pick the right size for my brownies to get the most out of the batch. And don’t worry, nothing was wasted…the kids and I snacked on the scraps!
- Decorating – To draw the laces on the footballs, you can use pre-made decorating icing (that comes in a squeeze bottle) or regular white frosting and a piping bag. Be sure to allow the brownies to cool completely before frosting so the icing stays in place.
- Storage – Keep any leftovers in a single layer in an airtight container, or on a plate loosely covered with foil, at room temperature for 2-3 days.
