S’Mores Puppy Chow

This delicious and easy-to-make S’mores Puppy Chow brings all the flavors of classic s’mores right to your kitchen, no campfire required! This is a fun snack to make for movie nights, school lunches, or anytime that you need a sweet pick-me-up. Both kids and grown-ups are going to love this one!

“Puppy Chow” or Muddy Buddies are a candy-coated cereal based snack mix – I love to make them for different holidays and occasions using festive flavors and mix-ins. This time we used Krave Chocolate Filled Cereal instead of Chex cereal to really amp up the chocolate flavor!

In fact, we packed in all the goodness of s’mores – creamy marshmallows, chocolatey goodness, and graham cracker crunch – all without the mess of an outdoor fire. Get ready to indulge in a taste of summer, anytime!

Prep Tips

  • Yield – This recipe will make about 8 cups of snack mix.
  • Storage – Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. After that, the cereal and cookies will start to lose their crispness a bit.
  • Cereal – If you don’t have Krave cereal on hand, you can make this recipe with Chex cereal or something similar.
  • Quick Tip – You can speed up the drying process for the chocolate coating by placing the baking tray of muddy buddies in the freezer, instead of waiting for it to dry at room temperature.
  • Variations – This is an easy recipe to customize with what you have on hand. You can use mini chocolate bars, a larger bar broken into smaller pieces, regular mini marshmallows, graham cracker pieces instead of Teddy Grahams, etc.
