Easy Instant Pot Lemonade

I use my Instant Pot for practically everything in my home, and lately, I’ve been experimenting with drinks in the Instant Pot!

This Instant Pot Lemonade recipe is so delicious and sweet, it’s the perfect drink to enjoy this summer. And actually the really cool part is that you’ll use your Instant Pot to make a sweet lemon simple syrup.

This syrup is concentrated and is actually enough to make many pitchers of lemonade. It keeps for weeks in the fridge so once you make the syrup, you can whip up a pitcher anytime you like! In seconds!!

The sweet citrus flavor really hits the spot on a hot Texas summer day, and it only takes a few ingredients and a few minutes to create this light and delicious summertime favorite!

Why Make Lemonade in a Pressure Cooker?

Convenience. Simple as that!

You know how easy that powdered lemonade mix is right? Just add water and stir?

Well this Instant pot lemonade recipe is THAT easy! But it tastes WAY better than powder mix!

With the Instant Pot, we can create enough lemonade concentrate for a dozen pitchers of lemonade. Then when you have a lemonade craving, you have this syrup ready and waiting in your fridge. Simply stir it into a pitcher of water to whip up a batch of fresh homemade lemonade in seconds!

Fresh squeezed lemonade has never been easier!

What You Need to Make Lemonade in the Instant Pot

For your convenience I’ve included shop-able ad links to some of the products used to make this recipe; disclosure policy available here.

  • 2 cups of lemon juice (or about 8-10 lemons squeezed)
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • water
  • Ice

Kitchen Tools Used

  • Instant Pot

Can You Double This Recipe?

Sure! You can double or even triple this recipe, as long as you keep a 1:1 ratio of lemon juice to sugar.

You’ll also want to make sure that you don’t go past the fill line inside your Instant Pot.

How to Make Instant Pot Lemonade

First, you’ll use the Instant Pot or similar pressure cooker to make a lemon simple syrup. You’ll have enough of this syrup to make many, many pitchers of delicious homemade lemonade!

Anytime you want to make lemonade, fill up a pitcher with ice and a couple cups of water. Then you stir in a few spoonfuls of the lemon syrup. Easy peasy!

To make lemon simple syrup in the Instant Pot:

Squeeze 8-10 lemons and collect the juice. Pour the juice through a mesh strainer to remove seeds and pulp.

Add this fresh lemon juice to your Instant pot with sugar. Seal the IP lid and cook on high pressure for 1 minutes (it will take about 20 minutes to build pressure).

When done, use manual release. Pour the syrup into a jar and chill in fridge.

To Make a Pitcher of Lemonade:

To make lemonade, fill a pitcher with ice and at least 3-4 cups of water.

Add your lemonade concentrate a Tablespoon at a time, stirring as you go, until you have your desired strength of lemonade.

I recommend 2-3 Tablespoons of syrup for a pitcher. You may use more or less, depending on how strong you like your lemonade as well as how much water was used.

How to Store Your Homemade Lemonade Concentrate

What we made in our Instant Pot is actually a lemon simple syrup. It keeps for a really long time in the fridge, if stored in a sealed jar.

Once you mix with water and make lemonade, it should last for a few days in a pitcher in the fridge. Stir well before serving, as the lemonade may separate a bit when it sits.

Do you only put the sugar and lemon juice in the IP? The ingredients calls for 5 cups of water, but I’m guessing that’s to actually make the lemonade, but in the instructions you say add 3-4 cups of water, so it’s a little confusing. Would love to try this recipe once I get some clarification.

Yes, the water is to make the lemonade. I’ll take a look at the directions to see if I can make it clearer. Hope this helps!
