How to Make Edible Unicorn Horns from Ice Cream Cones
In two separate small microwave safe bowls, heat 1 cup of each color candy melts on 50% power for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. (This may take less time depending on your microwave. Be sure to handle carefully, as bowl and chocolate may be hot).
Scoop a few tablespoons of your melted chocolate onto a piece of parchment paper.
Carefully roll the sugar cone in the melted chocolate making sure the outside of the cone is evenly coated.
Use your sprinkles of choice to decorate your chocolate covered cones while the chocolate is still soft. We used a variety of sprinkles, stars, and edible pearls.
Stand upright for 10-15 minutes for the chocolate to harden. We use a silicone baking mat because they’re re-usable and the candy pops right off when it’s dry.

Are these still good over night? Or must they be done the same day? Thank you 🙂
I think they would be fine to keep overnight, as long as you’re storing them in a sealed container and in a non-humid location.
How far in advance can I make these
Hi Sharon – I think you could make them a day or two in advance since there is nothing that would spoil. However, I would keep them in an airtight container to prevent the cones from getting stale or soft. Hope this helps!
Has anyone tried backing cupcakes in these? If so please share your process. Thanks. These are adorable!
