Add a touch of whimsy to your Easter table with these adorable chocolate covered strawberry carrots, an easy 2-ingredient Spring treat!
Easter Chocolate Covered Strawberries
These adorable chocolate covered strawberries are dipped in bright orange chocolate and look just like carrots.
My oldest and my youngest daughter both LOVE chocolate covered strawberries. I thought it would be fun this year to make a Spring/Easter version using orange chocolate, so they look like carrots.
I just love how they turned out!
These chocolate covered strawberry carrots are actually quite easy to make, with just two ingredients. Start to finish, this took me about 15-20 minutes. I didn’t tell my kids what I was doing, but when my youngest saw them, she immediately exclaimed, “they look like carrots!!” And then she proceeded to eat half the batch.
So not only are they super cute, but these carrot strawberries are totally delicious too!

Ingredients
- Strawberries
- Orange Chocolate Melting Wafers
Helpful Kitchen Supplies
- Microwave-Safe Bowl
- Plastic Piping Bag
- Baking Sheet with Non-stick Silicone Baking Mat
Instructions
To Prep: Wash and dry strawberries. I recommend gently patting with a paper towel to soak up any excess moisture. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick silicone baking mat.
- Place orange chocolate wafers or orange candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on high in 30 second intervals, stirring between, until melted and smooth.
- Hold strawberry by the leaves and dip in the melted orange chocolate. Roll the strawberry in the melted chocolate until all of the red fruit is coated.
- Place chocolate covered strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Scoop remaining melted chocolate into a plastic piping bag or a ziplock bag and snip the corner so there is a tiny hole. Drizzle orange chocolate on top of the candy coated strawberries so they have texture like real carrots.
Prep Tips
- Strawberries – I used organic strawberries for to make our carrot strawberries, simply because they were the best looking in the store, and they had a lot of bright green leaves on top so they would look more like carrots. You can use any type of strawberries you like or think are the best size/shape. Be sure to dry them very well so there is no excess moisture that might cause the chocolate not to stick.
- Chocolate – We used orange chocolate melting wafers because they are the perfect color (no food coloring needed) and are formulated to melt smoothly. It tastes just like white chocolate! You could also use orange candy melts, which aren’t technically chocolate, but they are also designed for melting and candy making.
- Piping – If you’re going to add the texture/drizzle on top, you can do this a few different ways. You can use a piping bag with a small round tip. If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a ziplock bag and snip off the corner to use just like a decorating bag. Or you can simply drizzle with a spoon.
- Serving – These are a tasty Easter treat all on their own! You could also place them on top of dirt pudding cups, to look like carrots in the ground.
- Storage – Chocolate covered strawberries can be kept out at room temperature for up to 24 hours. If you need to store them longer than that, they should be refrigerated. If refrigerating, place a paper towel in the bottom of an airtight container, to help absorb excess moisture.
