The Instant Pot is a high-tech pressure cooker, which uses steam and pressure to cook food in a fraction of the time! Instant Pots can be used to make a wide variety of dishes, from rice to soup to cake! Yep, you can bake cake in an Instant Pot!
It’s so easy to use and perfect when you’re short on time — no wonder the Instant Pot has taken the world by storm!
The purpose is the same: use pressure to cook food faster. However, “old-fashioned” pressure cookers can be difficult to use, messy, and may even explode if not used properly!
Personally, I was always too scared to use a pressure cooker!
Then along came the Instant Pot, with buttons and pre-programmed settings to make the process as foolproof as possible. There are also safety mechanisms built in to reduce the chance of an accident.
Both cook food quickly, but the Instant Pot is generally easier and safer.
TIP: We recommend this 7-in-1Instant Pot brand multi-cooker. It can make so many different things and comes in cute colors!
