Jelly Bean Easter Cocktail

This candy-colored drink is perfect for Easter brunch or to celebrate Spring!

Not only does it look like candy, but it tastes like it too!

The best part about this jelly bean cocktail is that it is easy to prepare with 3 simple ingredients, plus jelly beans candy to make it look especially festive. The blend of berry vodka and citrus flavors is sweet, but not too sweet, so you have a delicious drink that is always a crowd-pleaser.

It’s also easy to modify with ingredients that you might have at home already.

Let’s hop to it!!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Berry Flavored Vodka — For this recipe you can use almost any type of flavored vodka. Mixed berry, strawberry, raspberry, etc. would all taste fabulous! You could also use plain vodka, just keep in mind that the drink will be citrus flavored, without any berry notes from an infused vodka.
  • 1 oz Blue Curacao — This is an orange-flavored liqueur that is bright blue in color. It helps sweeten the drink, as well as adding a vibrant appearance.
  • Lemon-Lime Soda — Any citrus soda can be used: Sprite, 7-up, Sierra Mist, Squirt, etc.
  • Jelly Beans — For garnish

Helpful Bartender Tools

I’ve included affiliate links for your convenience in re-creating this recipe; disclosure policy available here.

  • Cocktail shaker — I was a bartender for years before I had kids and this was my favorite style of cocktail shaker.
  • Highball Glass — Our photographs show the drink served in a tall cocktail glass, but you could use any glassware you like. A champagne coupe or margarita glass would be fun too!
  • Bunny Ears Cake Topper — This is what we used to add a bit of Easter flair to our drink!

  1. Fill a tall cocktail glass with ice.
  2. Pour the vodka and blue curaçao into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 5 seconds to chill the drink.
  3. Strain and pour into your prepared glass.
  4. Top with lemon-lime soda and garnish with jelly beans.

Prep Tips

  • To make your drink even more festive, you can rim the glass with sugar crystals or a colorful sanding sugar. It will give the drink a little hint of sweetness and even more fun color!
  • To make this a pitcher, quadruple the ingredients and stir together in a large drink pitcher. Keep in the fridge until you’re ready to serve, then pour into ice-filled glasses.
