Pumpkin Pudding

This easy Pumpkin Pudding is a simple fall dessert that tastes like you spent a lot more time on it than you actually did! Made with just five ingredients, it combines real pumpkin with sweet vanilla and white chocolate flavors for a smooth, creamy dessert that’s perfect for pumpkin season.

Best of all, it takes just 5 minutes to prepare and another 5 minutes to chill, so you can have dessert ready in about 10 minutes! You can also make the pudding ahead of time and keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to serve, making it an easy option for fall parties, Thanksgiving, or whenever you’re craving a quick pumpkin treat.

Prep Tips

  • Storage: Keep finished pudding covered in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For the best texture, give it a quick stir before serving.
  • Make Ahead: This is a great make-ahead dessert! Prepare the pudding a day in advance and keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Add garnishes just before serving.
  • Pumpkin: Be sure to use 100% pure pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling, which already contains sugar and spices.
  • Pudding Mix: If you can’t find white chocolate pudding mix, you can use double the amount of vanilla pudding mix or use Cheesecake pudding mix (which would also give it a slightly tangier flavor.)
  • Garnish Ideas: Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, crushed graham crackers, chopped pecans, mini chocolate chips, or white chocolate shavings.
  • For a Thicker Pudding: Let it chill a little longer. The pudding will continue to thicken as it sits in the refrigerator.
