Santa Clausmopolitan Cocktail
The Santa Clausmopolitan cocktail is a holiday spin on the classic cosmopolitan, made with festive cranberry juice and a coconut rim that looks like snowflakes!
Santa Claus-mopolitan
Serve up a tall glass of holiday cheer with the “Santa Clausmopolitan” Christmas Cocktail!
This is the perfect fruity festive drink to unwind with after dealing with all the holiday hustle and bustle. It’s also the perfect festive cocktail for any Christmas party or celebration. Using a few basic cocktail making ingredients, you can whip this up in no time for a delightfully tart cocktail recipe with fun holiday vibes.
This gorgeous drink is a twist on the classic cosmopolitan cocktail, with a bit more cranberry juice to enhance the red color of the drink and a splash of peppermint for a festive holiday flavor.
But my favorite part of the Santa Clausmopolitan is the coconut rim which to me looks like fluffy snow flakes, or perhaps the fluffy trim on Santa’s red coat. It doesn’t get any more Christmasy than this beautiful holiday cocktail in all of its cranberry goodness!
Your guests are going to love this and it will definitely put you on the nice list! I might just make this one my signature Christmas cocktail this year!

Prep Tips
- Vodka – Use your favorite vodka for this recipe! You don’t have to use the most expensive top-shelf spirits (unless you want to) because you’ll be mixing them with juice. In fact, this is a great way to enhance the flavor of a mid-level vodka if you’re on a budget!
- Sweetness – Cranberry juice can be quite tart, so if you’d like to take the edge off and make this a sweeter drink, you can substitute with cranberry juice cocktail or you can add 1/2 ounce of simple syrup to the shaker when mixing the drink.
- Garnishes – If you don’t care for shredded coconut, you can instead coat the rim of the glass with white sanding sugar or crushed peppermint (like we did for our Tipsy Elf cocktail). We used a full-sized candy cane and placed it on top of the glass for serving, but you could also use mini candy canes and hook them over the rim of the glass. Fresh cranberries or sugared cranberries would also make a beautiful finishing touch.
