Chocolate Chip Cookie Martini
This Chocolate Chip Cookie Martini tastes just like the classic sweet, in liquid form! Creamy, chocolate-y, and absolutely delicious!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cocktail
A couple weeks ago my friend Kiki told me that she had a drink idea for my blog. So of course I had to try it!
She didn’t have a name for the drink yet, but one sip immediately reminded me of this amazing chocolate cookie martini that I had once on a work trip in New Orleans, many, many years ago.
With a couple little additions (mini chocolate chip cookies) we had almost perfectly recreated that martini that only lived in my memory. I’ve never seen another drink like it anywhere, until Kiki and I made our own!
If you are a fellow chocolate lover like me or you just love chocolate chip cookies, then this is the drink for you! It is SO much more flavorful than regular chocolate martinis and the cookies and whipped cream make this drink magical. It is truly dessert in a glass!

- Cocktail Shaker
- Milk Frother
- Martini Glass
Instructions
- Add whiskey, vodka, chocolate liqueur, and half of the milk to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for about 5 seconds to chill, then strain mixture into a martini glass.
- If you have a milk frother, use this to froth up the remaining milk, then pour on top of the martini. If you don’t have a milk frother, you can simply add all of the milk to the cocktail shaker and skip this step.
Prep Tips
- This decadent martini tastes amazing without any toppings. However, if you really want to make it special, you can top with whipped cream and chocolate chip cookie crumbs. It really takes this drink over the top and gives it that “wow” factor!
- We prepared this as a martini, but you could also serve it on the rocks.
- Another fun idea is to add cookie crumbs to the rim of the glass. To do so, you may want to blend the cookies in a food processor until finely crumbed. Pour the cookie crumbs on a plate and on another plate pour chocolate syrup. Dip the rim of your glass into the chocolate syrup and then into the cookie crumbs. Place the glass in the fridge to set.
- This would also be perfect to make as a shot for holiday parties! Simply strain into shot glasses instead of a martini glass. Then you can garnish as you like and serve to guests.
Substitutions
Because we used some very specific types of liquor for this recipe, I wanted to offer potential substitutions in case you can’t find any of these at the store.
- Cookie Dough Whiskey: This is what gives the drink its signature flavor; plain whiskey would probably not be sweet enough. If you can’t find this specific brand, you could try to find a chocolate flavored whiskey instead. If making this substitution, you’ll want to stick with whipped or vanilla vodka to help round out that cookie flavor.
- Whipped Vodka: You could swap with vanilla vodka, or skip the vodka altogether and make this a whiskey only drink.
- Chocolate Cream Liquor: For extra chocolate flavor, you could use a spoonful of chocolate syrup instead. This would also make this a less strong drink. Another way to do this is to use chocolate milk (instead of the chocolate cream AND regular milk). If you want to keep this boozy, you could try using Baileys Irish Cream or a similar cream-based liqueur or chocolate creme de cacao.
- Milk: If you want to make this dairy free, you can use a plant-based milk. (For dairy free you’d also want to use chocolate syrup instead of the chocolate cream liquor, as suggested above). If you’re a dairy fan, you can use heavy cream instead of milk for a richer flavor and mouth feel.
