When you think of Christmas drinks, eggnog almost immediately comes to mind! It’s a holiday classic for a reason (and my family has a special eggnog recipe that’s been passed down for generations). However, there are so many fun options to play with!
Peppermint and cranberry are both perfect for making holiday beverages, both boozy and not. You’ll see quite a few on this Christmas cocktail list that feature these festive flavors.
You’ll also see some very unique holiday cocktails too, if you’re looking for something less traditional. There’s no right or wrong way to celebrate!

Christmas Margaritas aka “Mistletoe Margaritas”
A classic margarita jazzed up with festive cranberry juice, this Christmas margarita recipe is one of our all-time favorites! The cranberry, lime juice, and tequila make the perfect mix. When I want to make a big batch, I shake them up in a mason jar as my cocktail shaker.
Christmas White Russian – A traditional White Russian, with a festive peppermint kick!
A cute spin on a White Christmas Margarita (without the coconut milk), this drink is decorated to look like Rudolph, with a cranberry nose and rosemary antlers.
It doesn’t get any more festive than these clever holiday cocktails served right inside clear ornaments! They look stunning on a party table.
“Naughty or Nice” Cocktail – A delightful layered drink with spicy whiskey and sweet ginger and fruit juices. For all of your Christmas moods!
These tasty holiday spiced mimosas are perfect for sipping on Christmas morning as you unwrap all the presents. Would also be fabulous to serve at a holiday brunch!
Eggnog White Russian Cocktail – We swapped eggnog for the cream or milk in a White Russian cocktail. The creamy texture and warm spices on the eggnog makes this the perfect Christmas cocktail!
This is an absolutely gorgeous drink! With a variety of colorful fruit and apple slices cut into stars, it almost looks too pretty to drink…almost!
This wintery cocktail can be made two ways: frozen and on the rocks. And despite its icy blue color, this drink is tropical flavored. The pineapple juice and rum combo makes it taste like a vacation in a glass! You could also strain to make martinis.
Santa Clausmopolitan – A festive holiday spin on the classic cosmopolitan cocktail, with extra cranberry juice for a Christmasy red color and a splash of peppermint flavor!
2-Ingredient Christmas Mimosas – This might be the easiest holiday cocktail ever! Perfect for Christmas brunch!
What do you get when you combine champagne and raspberry liquor? A classic French Kiss cocktail! This bubbly drink is delightful for a holiday party or New Year’s Eve celebration.
Christmas Cranberry Vodka Spritzer
Made with only 2 ingredients, it doesn’t get any easier than this! A perfect drink to whip up when you’re short on time. Just pour, stir, and serve!
Tipsy Elf Peppermint Mocha Cocktail
If you love Starbucks’ peppermint mocha, then this is the drink for you! I created this boozy peppermint mocha inspired by my favorite holiday coffee drink. The candy cane rim is so pretty!
We took a classic Moscow Mule recipe that’s made with ginger beer and turned it Christmas-y with peppermint flavors and candy canes. So fun! (We also made a fall version with apple cider!)
Palomas are a tequila based drink made with grapefruit juice for a delightful combination of tart and sweet. We added a few holiday inspired touches to this one to make it especially gorgeous in a glass.
Similar to a cranberry margarita, but with pomegranate! A fun twist on a classic cocktail.
A winter inspired drink that can be served any time of the season. The bright blue color makes it different than many other holiday drinks and it’s sure to stand out from the crowd.
