cranberry jello shots with fresh berries and rosemary

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Remove from heat and whisk in the cranberry gelatin. Once jello has completely dissolved, pour in the cranberry vodka and stir to mix.
  2. Pour the jello mixture into plastic shot cups and chill in the fridge until set.
  3. To make the sugared cranberries, rinse the fresh berries with water and roll them in granulated sugar.
  4. Once the jello has fully set, insert a sprig of fresh rosemary as a garnish and top with 2-3 sugared cranberries.

Prep Tips

  • When making jello shots, I place the plastic cups on a baking sheet or a muffin tin to keep them in place when I’m moving them in and out of the fridge.
  • If you don’t have fresh cranberries on hand, you can use red sugar sprinkles for a sparkly garnish. You can also top them with whipped cream.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can You Use Regular Vodka?

Absolutely! We used a cranberry vodka to really amp up the flavor of this recipe, however, plain vodka will work just as well.

Can You Use Sugar Free Jello?

Sure! We used regular jello, but if you’re looking to make this a low carb recipe, you can use sugar free cranberry jello.

How Long Can Jello Shots Last In The Refrigerator?

Jello shots can last up to a week in the fridge, so they are perfect to make ahead of time and keep refrigerated until it’s party time. If making in advance, I recommend waiting until right before you’re ready to serve to add any garnishes. This will ensure that the jello shots look pretty.

While storing in the fridge, keep the jello shots covered with plastic wrap or lids (if your condiment cups came with lids, these are perfect!)
