Peppermint Holiday Mule
This Christmas Moscow Mule is a festive spin on the classic mule, with tart cranberry juice and icy peppermint.
Christmas Moscow Mule
Sweet cranberry, fresh peppermint, and a kick of ginger make this Peppermint Holiday Mule Santa’s new favorite drink!
A traditional Moscow Mule cocktail is made with vodka, lime, and ginger beer. To make our holiday version, we used peppermint vodka, cranberry juice, with a candy cane garnish. It’s one of the most unique Christmas cocktails I’ve tried!
The copper mug gets nice and frosty as soon as you start mixing, so this drink truly brings all the wintery vibes!

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Moscow Mule Have to be Served in a Copper Mug?
A Moscow Mule is traditionally served in a copper mug or copper cup. Copper is a excellent conductor and quickly takes on the icy cold temperature of the drink. Not only does this provide a full sensory experience, but it helps keeps the drink cold. Finally, a classic copper mug makes your drink instantly recognizable!
That being said, a copper mug is not a requirement and the drink will still taste fantastic in any vessel.
What Can I Substitute for Vodka in a Moscow Mule?
While vodka is the classic liquor of choice for a Moscow mule, you can switch it up with your favorite spirit. Gin or rum would also work well in this recipe. You could even use peppermint schnapps for a blast of minty flavor!
