Prep Tips

  • You can of course add the apple slices at any time during the making of this recipe. However, I wait until the end to add fruit so I know that all the liquids are in the jug first. Then I use the apples to fill up any remaining space so the pitcher looks full and pretty.
  • We served our punch in mason jars and garnished with apple slices. Cinnamon sticks would also make a fantastic and fragrant garnish!

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Can You Keep This Fall Punch in the Fridge?

When kept refrigerated, this fall punch will last the day. Because it contains bubbly ingredients (ginger beer and sparkling wine), once it’s all mixed, it’s best to enjoy that day. After that, the sparkling wine will start to lose its fizz.

If you want to make ahead of time, mix all of the ingredients except the sparkling wine and ginger beer. Add those ingredients when you plan to serve.

What Do I Use If I Can’t Find Crown Apple?

Crown Apple is an apple-infused whiskey made by the Crown Royal brand. It’s been available for a couple years now and you should be able to find it in most liquor stores.

However, if you are not able to find it or are wondering if you can use something already on hand, you have options! You are welcome to use a different brand of apple flavored whiskey or bourbon.

You could also use regular unflavored whiskey or bourbon. The apple cider will still give it a smooth and fruity taste, just not quite as apple-y as if you used infused whiskey.

How Do You Make a Non-Alcoholic Version of This Recipe?

If you want to prepare something that the whole family can enjoy, it’s actually very easy to modify this recipe and still get all those yummy fall flavors!

Obviously, omit the whiskey. You can use a tad more apple cider in its place. Ginger beer is actually non-alcoholic, despite the name. So that one is fine to keep! Finally, instead of the sparkling wine, just use ginger ale instead.
