Bacon wrapped pickles are crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The perfect savory low carb appetizer that’s easy to make in an air fryer!
Air Fryer Bacon Ranch Pickles
If you love bacon wrapped shrimp or bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, then I’ve got just the recipe for you! Allow me to introduce…bacon wrapped pickles!
These “pickle fries” are an incredible combination of crunchy, juicy, and salty. We took flavorful dill pickles, smothered them in smoky bacon, then cooked them to perfection in the air fryer. No grease, no mess, and only 20 minutes of cook time!
Even better, these savory snacks are packed with protein and low in carbs! There is only 1 gram of total carbohydrates per serving…and ZERO net carbs!
But even if you’re not counting carbs, this is a downright delicious appetizer that would be perfect for serving at any party or tailgate. Move over, buffalo wings!

Frequently Asked Questions
How Do You Cook This Recipe Without An Air Fryer?
If you don’t have an air fryer, don’t sweat it! You can still cook these bacon wrapped pickles to crispy perfection in a conventional oven.
To do so, preheat your oven to 400°F. Wrap each pickle spear in a bacon slice and place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F or until the bacon is crisp on the outside and cooked throughout.
Is Ranch Dressing Low Carb?
If you’re enjoying this recipe as part of a keto diet, you’ll want to look for a dipping sauce that is also keto-friendly. Many store-bought ranch dressings contain sugar, so always check the label first. Bleu cheese dressing is another option that is generally low in carbs.
Can You Use Whole Pickles?
Yes, you can use whole pickles to make this recipe. However, I still recommend quartering them so they are the right size to match your bacon. For that reason, I generally stick with pre-cut pickle spears in the jar to save time.
