Pizza Tater Tot Casserole
Tater tot pizza is a fun twist on a typical pizza night, using crispy baked tater tots instead of pizza dough. Kids love it, and it’s the perfect easy homemade pizza recipe!
Tater Tot Pizza
Tater tot pizza is basically a kids’ DREAM dinner!! It combines two childhood favorites — tater tots and pizza — into one crispy, cheesy dish!
Kids might love the taste, but you’re going to LOVE how easy this recipe is to make! The tater tots form a delicious crust that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Then you choose your favorite pizza toppings! Simple as that!
I’ve made tater tot casserole before (this BBQ Tater Tot Casserole is amazing!), and this pizza version is just as good or maybe even better than my classic recipe! In addition to being a favorite kid-friendly dinner, this tater tot pizza bake is great as an appetizer (think: game day!)
All you need is 30 minutes and 4 ingredients to make it!

How to Make Pizza with Tater Tots
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Total Time: 30 Minutes
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees and mist your pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Arrange tater tots in a flat layer on prepared pan. Bake the tater tots themselves for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread marinara sauce on top, then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
- Finish with sliced pepperoni or your favorite pizza toppings.
- Place back into the oven and bake for 10 additional minutes.
Best enjoyed warm. Feel free to add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese!
How to Reheat Tater Tot Casserole
If there happen to be any leftovers, store them in a covered container in the fridge. They’ll stay good for 3-5 days.
To reheat, place the casserole on a baking sheet or in a casserole dish and into the oven. Set your oven to 350°F and allow the tater tots to warm up as the oven preheats.
Remove from the oven once the tots have warmed all the way through and start to crisp up again on the outside.
You can also microwave individual servings of course, and this would be the faster method. Though keep in mind that you won’t be able to crisp up that tater tot crust with a microwave.

Was okay but topping were just warm and cheese was not melted much, 10 minute cooking time after adding topping absolutely not enough, even the tater tots were merely warm. I cooked for an additional 10 minutes and was much better.
Thank you, I wondered if the cooking time on the tots would be sufficient to make them crispy. I think I’ll initially bake them just a little longer and then after topping, a little longer than suggested. Making these tomorrow for my husband who has been craving them since seeing the commercial from some pizza company. Where we live in Moose Pass, Alaska the nearest fast food is 90 miles away.
