It’s the kind of recipe you can throw together with just 5 simple ingredients, and it’s ready in less than 20 minutes from start to finish. Perfect for last-minute guests, game day spreads, tailgates, or anytime you need something warm, cheesy, and shareable.
This dip is rich, creamy, and loaded with juicy chicken, tangy ranch, and just the right kick of spicy Buffalo sauce. Everything gets topped with melty cheddar cheese for that bubbly, golden finish that makes it the kind of dip you’ll go back for again and again. Ingredients
- Chopped rotisserie chicken
- Franks Buffalo hot sauce
- Softened cream cheese
- Ranch dressing
- Shredded cheddar cheese
Optional Toppings:
- Cool Ranch Doritos
- Green Onions
- Bleu cheese crumbles
- Extra buffalo wing sauce

- Large saucepan or deep sauté pan
- 8 or 9-inch square casserole dish (or similar medium baking dish)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except shredded cheese to a large saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, while stirring occasionally, until combined and melty.
- Scoop mixture into an oven safe serving dish and sprinkle with 2 cups shredded cheddar and broil 2-4 minutes. Be sure to watch so it doesn’t burn.
- Remove from oven and top with your favorite toppings. We used chopped green onions and crushed Cool Ranch Doritos. Enjoy warm.

Prep Tips:
- Chicken – Rotisserie chicken is a time-saver because you just shred and stir in. You could also bake your own chicken and use that for a more cost-effective version.
- Cheese – Shred your own cheese for the best melt. Pre-shredded cheese is fine to use, but it can be a little grainier due to the additives used in making it.
- Pan Size – We broiled our dip in an 8-inch square casserole dish. Anything similar in size and oven safe should work.
- Adjust the heat level – by adding more or less Buffalo sauce to taste.
- Make ahead friendly – Assemble the dip, cover, and refrigerate, then bake when ready to serve.
- Storage – Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days and reheat gently until warmed through.

- For Dipping: Crackers, baguette slices, tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or other fresh veggies are all tasty options that are sturdy enough to scoop up lots of this thick and cheesy dip.
- Toppings: We topped our dip with crumbled Cool Ranch Doritos and chopped green onions. Other ideas to customize the flavor of this dish are: blue cheese crumbles, Nacho Cheese Doritos, extra shredded cheese, red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of more buffalo wing sauce.
