NYE Cotton Candy Mocktail

One of the most memorable things about New Year’s Eve is toasting as you ring in the new year. This year I created a fun and easy mocktail recipe so the kids can have a special toast too!

This simple, but festive New Year’s Eve mocktail is made with just 4 ingredients: sparkling apple cider, vanilla frosting, cotton candy, and sprinkles.

This is also an interactive drink – when you drop the cotton candy into the glass, it creates a cool fizzy effect and adds a deliciously sweet cotton candy flavor. This was a such a hit in our family!

Prep Tips

  • Sparkling Cider – You can use any type of fizzy non-alcoholic beverage for this recipe. We used “sparkling blush” but you could use sparkling cider, sparkling grape juice, etc. You could even use ginger ale or lemon-lime soda. This could also be done with sparkling wine for the grown-ups!
  • Cotton Candy – We had fun adding cotton candy directly to the drink, as it dissolves quickly and creates a fun fizzy effect. The cotton candy also adds a sweet flavor to the tart cider. You can also place the cotton candy on top of the glass, without touching the liquid, so it looks pretty before serving.
