Easy Crockpot Candy

If you’re looking for an easy treat that feels fancy and decadent, but takes almost no effort, this crockpot candy is it. With just 4 simple ingredients, the slow cooker does all the work while you go about your day. The result is a sweet-and-salty bite-sized treat with rich, creamy chocolate, a hint of peanut butter, and lots of crunchy roasted cashews.

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how easy it is to customize for any season or celebration. Add festive sprinkles for Christmas, heart-shaped toppings for Valentine’s Day, or keep it classic for an everyday treat. It’s a great base recipe that you can dress up without extra steps, which makes it especially nice during busy holidays.

This recipe makes a big batch, so it’s perfect for holiday parties, cookie exchanges, or gifting in cute tins or bags. The candy sets up beautifully and keeps well, making it an stress-free make-ahead treat you can check off your list early. Simple ingredients, minimal effort, and crowd-pleasing results…this one’s a keeper!

Prep Tips

  • Low and slow is best. Always melt the chocolate on LOW to prevent scorching or seizing.
  • Do not stir right away. Let everything melt for about 45–60 minutes before stirring for the smoothest texture.
  • Nut-free option: Skip the cashews and use pretzels, toasted cereal, or crushed cookies instead. You can also use sunflower seed butter instead of the peanut butter for an allergy-friendly version.
  • Customize for holidays: Add sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or themed toppings after spooning the candy into the cupcake liners.
  • Let candy set completely before storing or stacking to avoid sticking.
  • No muffin tin? No problem! You can simply scoop clusters of the candy mixture onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper and allow to dry.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate for longer freshness.
